plan along with comments forwarded to the committee for additional planning and
implementation. It is anticipated that several of the items will begin in the spring of 2024.
Thursday Chess Night: Mark announced that the library will host a chess night, first one on
Thursday, January 18t", beginning at 4:00 PM. It will be open to players of all skill levels and
ages. If popular, it would become a bi-weekly event or even weekly. 3 chess boards have been
donated for the activity and additional will be added if needed.
Computer upgrades: Currently the operating systems need to be updated on the PC's in the
library including the ones available to the patrons as well as the office and front desk. The
number of computers for patrons will be reduced to 4, opening some private spaces for those
who bring their mobile devices for the WiFi. Linda and Kaye are currently coordinating the
project with Watt Computers.
Meeting was adjourned at 5:25PM.
Respectfully Submitted
Mark Jurchen, Board Chair
