City Council Minutes <br />February 6, 2023 <br />Page 6 of 9 <br />-------------------------- <br />forward on the reconstruction for Buschmann. He said the volume of traffic will <br />increase once that road is done. He asked Council if they have any direction for <br />staff. He stated that Jenkins township has been quiet and Ideal is willing to <br />improve what is there. He stated Wild Acres and Nelson is part of Ideal too. He <br />said the residents do not want to see trees removed. Discussion ensued about <br />pavement and previous attempts to work on road. Mayor Gardner stated <br />Ackerson should not be a part of this discussion at this time and Nelson/Wild <br />Acres should be on the list. Mr. Spiczka stated he will reach out to Ideal. <br />Mr. Spiczka stated the City we will be using the ARPA funds Council approved to <br />create a new, safer and gradual entrance to Coleman Drive. This project should <br />take place this Spring/ Summer <br />9.5 Carryover Funds Allocation Request <br />Mr. Spiczka stated that staff is looking for Council approval to allocate $20,000 <br />from the Roads and Streets Carryover($125,000 approximate balance right now) <br />to purchase a new mower. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER CLEMENT MOVED TO APPROVE THE USE OF $20,000 <br />FROM THE ROADS AND STREETS CARRYOVER FUND TO PURCHASE A <br />NEW MOWER. COUNCIL RONNING SECONDED. MOTION CARRIED. 4-0 <br />10. Administration <br />10.1. Administration Report <br />Mr. Spiczka stated staff is shuffling duties and responsibilities and we should <br />know more about how this will work after a busy permitting season. He said <br />things are good in water/sewer and roads and streets. He also said Justin Burslie <br />from Sourcewell has been involved in some conversations, but Tim Houle has <br />not yet. <br />Mr. Spiczka informed the Council that Colin Jacobs is doing a design for free to <br />convert the space downstairs for the Police Department. <br />10.2. HOGTL Platting Proposal <br />Mr. Spiczka stated that to sell the four acres in the Heart of the Good Life for the <br />apartment project the City will need to create a four acre parcel first. He stated a <br />stipulation of purchase agreement is to have the four acres. He stated the <br />Widseth proposal to do this is attached. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON MOVED TO APPROVE $5,700 TO WIDSETH <br />TO CREATE THE FOUR ACRE PARCEL. COUNCIL RONNING SECONDED. <br />MOTION CARRIED. 4-0 <br />
