Review the contractor's bonds and insurance for conformity to the construction contract, <br />obtain signatures on the agreement, and prepare conformed construction contracts for the <br />City, the contractor, and our project files. <br />38. Send out invites, prepare an agenda, conduct the pre- construction meeting, and distribute <br />minutes. <br />39. Coordinate, in conjunction with the contractor and the City, with utilities. <br />40. Review the contractor's schedules. <br />41. Review the contractor's shop drawings on materials to be incorporated into the work. <br />42. Establish horizontal and vertical control in the field for construction staking and for use by <br />the contractor. <br />43. Provide construction staking for the improvements for the contractor as specified in the <br />construction documents. <br />44. Provide a construction observer. This person will coordinate with City Public Works and <br />Utilities Staff. Due to the type of construction, we anticipate our construction observer will be <br />on -site 5 days a week for 10 hours a day over an estimated 12 -week construction schedule. <br />We could look at tightening this schedule, which may reduce our costs. However, it may <br />result in higher construction costs to get the work done more quickly. <br />We will obviously try to balance what will be most efficient and economical for everyone. <br />45. Prepare agendas, conduct weekly on -site progress meetings, and distribute minutes. <br />46. Answer questions from the contractor, and construction observer. <br />47. Coordinate with the material and field- testing geotechnical firm hired by the City. <br />48. Work with the contractor on draft payment applications, prepare final monthly payment <br />applications for the City Council to consider, and transmit all necessary related paperwork <br />between the City and the contractor. <br />49. As part of the SCDP grant administration requirements, submit draw requests for the City to <br />DEED / SCDP, complete quarterly and annual grant reports, coordinate fair housing activity, <br />and manage labor compliance for DEED activity. <br />50.
