November 1, 2023 WiDSETH
Design, Bidding, and Construction Phase Services for
Main (Gravdahl) Lift Station and Forcemain Improvements
City of Pequot Lakes
Page 2
General Items on the Proposed Scope of Work
Please note that we have broken our tasks into 'bigger' phases.
However, there are many individual disciplines (surveyors, funding assistance people,
environmental professionals, civil engineers and technicians, etc.) working on tasks within each
of these phases.
While tasks are shown individually, there are many that are coordinated with — and sometimes
hard to separate from — from other tasks.
Also, tasks are not necessarily chronological. There is much back - and -forth between and within
these tasks.
The numbering is only for ease of reference.
Design Phase Scope of Work
1. Utilize previous City projects' existing surveys, plats, and recorded legal descriptions as one
of the basis for our base map.
2. Research available on -line records for surrounding deeds.
3. Identify the parcel boundaries and any areas of public easement or platted Right -of -Way
found int eh current deeds for the LS and the FM route.
4. Prepare a base map of the above information.
5. Review the above information with the City and determine if any additional title research is
necessary.
If there is additional title research necessary, the City may need to pay for this title research
/ records.
We would then incorporate this information into the above referenced base map.
6. Make a Gopher State One Call and preferably obtain field information from utilities.
Sometimes they do not provide field locates, and if this is the case, we will have to obtain
design maps from them.
7. Conduct office research; then field locate horizontal and vertical survey control.
8. Recover and verify Section corners, plat corners, and property boundary corners necessary
to accurately establish the property boundaries for the LS and the FM route.
9. Locate utility information, topography, and above- ground features of the LS and the FM
(e.g., manholes, air release valves, and standpipes.
NAMarketing DeptTroposals100 Letter Proposals\2023 Letter Proposals\Pequot Lakes LS and FM \Pequot Lakes - LS and FM Design and Construction
- 20231101.docx
