City Council Minutes <br /> September 2, 2008 <br /> Page 4 of 12 <br /> 6.2. Vacation of Right-of-Way <br /> Chuck Marohn presented the staff report. He indicated that the developer <br /> of Wilderness Point Resort is requesting a road vacation which is <br /> necessary to complete a re-platting process at the resort. He stated that <br /> the Planning Commission is recommending that the Council vacate a <br /> portion of High Pine Street. In return for vacating the street, the developer <br /> has agreed to a deeded dedicated access through the resort for affected <br /> property owners to reach their private properties. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH MOVED TO OPEN THE PUBLIC <br /> HEARING FOR THE VACATION OF HIGH PINE STREET. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> There were no comments from the public on this issue. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH MOVED TO CLOSE THE PUBLIC <br /> HEARING FOR THE VACATION OF HIGH PINE STREET. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5- <br /> 0. <br /> �-' Chuck Marohn noted that there is also a request to vacate the right-of-way <br /> as it serves no purpose to the City or adjacent property owners. He stated <br /> that the Planning Commission is recommending that the Council vacate <br /> the right-of-way. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO OPEN THE PUBLIC HEARING <br /> ON THE RIGHT-OF-WAY VACATION ASSOCIATED WITH THE <br /> WILDERNESS POINT RESORT FINAL PLAT. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> There were no comments from the public on this issue. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO CLOSE THE PUBLIC <br /> HEARING ON THE RIGHT-OF-WAY VACATION. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> RYAN SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 08-26 <br /> VACATING A PORTION OF HIGH PINE STREET, PLAT OF METTLER <br /> POINT.
