Request to Close Clerk's Office on November 28th The Clerk requested the Council to allow the Clerk's Office to close on November 28th. She noted that employees would be required to use personal time for the time off. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO CLOSE THE CLERK'S OFFICE ON NOVEMBER 28, 2008, PROVIDING ANY EMPLOYEE TAKING THE TIME OFF WILL BE REQUIRED TO USE PERSONAL TIME. COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. 10.7. Pequot Lakes Historical Society Lease of Cole Memorial Building The Clerk noted that the Staff has been working with the Pequot Lakes Historical Society and the City Attorney to draft a new lease agreement for the lease of the basement of the Cole Memorial Building. She explained that the previous lease allowed the Historical Society to lease the entire building and then sublease the main floor to the Senior Citizens. The new agreement leases only the basement of the Cole Memorial Building to the Pequot Lakes Historical Society for twenty five years. The City will be maintaining and handling the main floor of the building. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO APPROVE THE LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES AND THE PEQUOT LAKES HISTORICAL SOCIETY FOR THE LEASE OF THE BASEMENT OF THE COLE MEMORIAL BUILDING. COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. 10.8. Cole Memorial Building Use The Clerk noted that staff has been directed by Council to consider possible uses of the main floor of the Cole Memorial Building. She suggested that the Council direct the Park Commission to take on this task. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO DIRECT THE PARK COMMISSION TO RESEARCH POSSIBLE USES OF THE MAIN FLOOR OF THE COLE MEMORIAL BUILDING. COUNCIL MEMBER `-- SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0.
