Request to Close Clerk's Office on November 28th <br /> The Clerk requested the Council to allow the Clerk's Office to close on <br /> November 28th. She noted that employees would be required to use <br /> personal time for the time off. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO CLOSE THE CLERK'S OFFICE <br /> ON NOVEMBER 28, 2008, PROVIDING ANY EMPLOYEE TAKING THE <br /> TIME OFF WILL BE REQUIRED TO USE PERSONAL TIME. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER ORASKOVICH SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 10.7. Pequot Lakes Historical Society Lease of Cole Memorial Building <br /> The Clerk noted that the Staff has been working with the Pequot Lakes <br /> Historical Society and the City Attorney to draft a new lease agreement for <br /> the lease of the basement of the Cole Memorial Building. She explained <br /> that the previous lease allowed the Historical Society to lease the entire <br /> building and then sublease the main floor to the Senior Citizens. The new <br /> agreement leases only the basement of the Cole Memorial Building to the <br /> Pequot Lakes Historical Society for twenty five years. The City will be <br /> maintaining and handling the main floor of the building. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO APPROVE THE LEASE <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES AND THE <br /> PEQUOT LAKES HISTORICAL SOCIETY FOR THE LEASE OF THE <br /> BASEMENT OF THE COLE MEMORIAL BUILDING. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER ORASKOVICH SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 10.8. Cole Memorial Building Use <br /> The Clerk noted that staff has been directed by Council to consider <br /> possible uses of the main floor of the Cole Memorial Building. She <br /> suggested that the Council direct the Park Commission to take on this <br /> task. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO DIRECT THE PARK <br /> COMMISSION TO RESEARCH POSSIBLE USES OF THE MAIN <br /> FLOOR OF THE COLE MEMORIAL BUILDING. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> `-- SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br />
