The <br /> Committee is recommending that the Council move each employee up <br /> one step on the pay scale and authorize a 2.5% cost of living adjustment. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO GRANT A STEP <br /> INCREASE TO EMPLOYEES WHO HAVE SUCCESSFULLY PASSED <br /> THEIR PERFORMANCE EVALUATION AND TO ALLOW FOR A 2.5% <br /> COLA. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 10.4. Personnel Policy Amendments <br /> The City Clerk reviewed the proposed amendments to the personnel <br /> policy. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO APPROVE THE AMENDED <br /> PERSONNEL POLICY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE ONE EXTRA <br /> FLOATING HOLIDAY. THE MOTION DIED FOR LACK OF A SECOND. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH MOVED TO APPROVE THE <br /> �-' AMENDED PERSONNEL POLICY AS PRESENTED. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 2- <br /> 1. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN OPPOSED. <br /> 10.4.A. Life Insurance for City Employees <br /> The Clerk requested the Council to consider increasing life insurance for <br /> employees from $10,000 to $15,000. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO INCREASE THE LIFE <br /> INSURANCE BENEFIT FOR EMPLOYEES FROM $10,000 TO $15,000 <br /> PER YEAR. COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 10.5. Travel Regulations and Expense Reimbursement Policy Amendment <br /> The Clerk noted that one of the audit requirements for the 2007 audit is to <br /> adopt a travel policy to include elected officials. She noted that the existing <br /> policy has been amended to include elected officials. She explained that <br /> this is also required by State Statute #471.661 <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO AMEND THE CITY'S TRAVEL <br /> REGULATIONS AND EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT POLICY.
