Renewal of Jenkins Township Police Contract <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION <br /> 08-35 ENTERING INTO A LAW ENFORCEMENT CONTRACT AND <br /> JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH JENKINS TOWNSHIP. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER RYAN SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 9.2. Renewal of City of Jenkins Police Contract <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 08-36 <br /> ENTERING INTO A LAW ENFORCEMENT CONTRACT AND JOINT <br /> POWERS AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF JENKINS. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER ORASKOVICH SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 10. City Clerk's Report <br /> `-� Report received by Council. <br /> 10.1. Utility Identity Theft Prevention Program <br /> The Clerk informed the Council that the Federal Trade Commission has <br /> mandated that utility companies adopt an identity theft prevention <br /> program. The purpose of the program is to identify red flags that alert <br /> employees to the possibility of identity theft in relation to the utility <br /> accounts. She explained that this program should protect the <br /> establishment of false accounts, and to assure that existing accounts were <br /> not opened using false information. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO ADOPT THE IDENTITY THEFT <br /> PROGRAM. COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 10.2. Tax Rate Information Based on the Preliminary General Fund Levy <br /> The Clerk explained that it appears that the City's tax rate will go down <br /> slightly with the proposed preliminary levy figure. <br /> 10.3. Employee Wages for 2009 <br />
