City Council Minutes <br /> August 5, 2008 <br /> Page 4 of 10 <br /> some were given to the Police Chief for review. She indicated that the <br /> Chief was in the process of reviewing all of the complaints and that the <br /> results would be reviewed with Council Member Oraskovich. <br /> The Mayor noted that she and Council Member Oraskovich reviewed all of <br /> the complaints that were for Council only. The Mayor gave a brief <br /> description of the complaints. She noted that due to data privacy <br /> requirements she could not mention any names related to the complaints. <br /> The Mayor noted that she will respond personally to each complaint that <br /> was reviewed by the Council. <br /> Council Member Ryan questioned whether the complaints were handled <br /> according to statutory requirements. Mayor Malecha noted that she and <br /> Council Member Oraskovich made the determination to review the <br /> complaints after discussing this with the City Attorney. <br /> Chief Braam noted that in the last three years there have been about <br /> 14,000 incidents handled by the police department. He indicated that he <br /> reviews all complaints according to policy. The Chief read the mission <br /> statement form the Police Department and indicated the department <br /> believes in the statement. <br /> 10. City Clerk's Report <br /> Report received by Council. <br /> 10.1. Resolution Appointing Election Judges <br /> The Clerk updated the Council on the election process. She noted that the <br /> Primary Election will be held on September 9th. The Clerk presented a <br /> resolution appointing the Election Judges for the Primary Election. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION <br /> 08-23 APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE SEPTEMBER 9, <br /> 2008, PRIMARY ELECTION. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 10.2. Cole Memorial Building Use <br /> The City Clerk noted that several issues have come to light regarding the <br /> use of this building: <br /> • The Historical Society's Lease needs to be updated <br />
