City Council Minutes <br /> August 5, 2008 <br /> Page 3of10 <br /> Chuck Marohn presented the staff report. He indicated that the Planning <br /> Commission, in cooperation with Economic Development Corporation, <br /> examined existing ordinances regarding the industrial park. Mr. Marohn <br /> noted that the Planning Commission is recommending an ordinance <br /> amendment that would provide for a more intense use of the infrastructure <br /> in the Industrial Park along with some amendments to the screening and <br /> landscaping requirements. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 08-08, <br /> SECOND SERIES, AMENDING CHAPTER 17 RELATING TO THE <br /> INDUSTRIAL ZONE. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. <br /> Council Member Ryan questioned if there is anything in the ordinance that <br /> is more restrictive than the existing ordinance. Chuck Marohn noted that <br /> the landscaping requirements are an additional provision than what is <br /> currently in the ordinance. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH MOVED TO AUTHORIZE A <br /> `-' SUMMARY PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE 08-08 PERTAINING TO <br /> THE INDUSTRIAL ZONE. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 7. Fire Department Report <br /> Report received by Council. Chief Tom Nelson was present to discuss the <br /> report. He noted that the department will be advertising to add additional <br /> firefighters. <br /> 8. Water/Wastewater Monthly Report <br /> Report received by Council. <br /> 9. Police Chief Monthly Report <br /> Report received by Council. <br /> 9.1. Mayor Malecha Update <br /> Mayor Malecha noted that she and Council Member Oraskovich had <br /> previously received 53 complaints from a concerned citizens group. Some <br /> of the complaints were requested to be reviewed by the Council only and <br />
