Please provide us and the
City of Pequot Lakes a schedule of your plan to complete this work. Landecker & Associates,
the City Engineer, City of Pequot Lakes Public Works Staff, and you should meet to inspect the
items that are listed to be monitored after going through the spring freeze/thaw cycle prior to
June 1 , 2008. We request that the remaining construction items be completed prior to June 1 ,
2008 as well. The following is the summary of remaining construction items from the last punch
list dated October 11 , 2007.
Item 1 — Items found from reviewing the televising of sanitary sewer mains
1 . We agree to not excavate down to the Fernco coupling located 239' south off
manhole 3 and replacing it at this time. Paul Smith will contact Infratech
regarding the possibility of vibrating the pipe joint into proper alignment.
2. It is the City of Pequot Lakes' position that the 2 — 45 degree bends between
manhole 6 and the lift station must be replaced. The requested repair is to
excavate and replace the bends, core a new 8" invert in the lift station, extend the
existing sewer main into the lift station, and grout the existing invert.
3 . When taking care of No. 2 above, the rock retaining wall next to the lift station
wet well top slab and control panel will be removed. The City is concerned about
getting across the rocks that may be slippery or icy at times. When this area is
reconstructed we ask that the rock retaining wall is not extended to the control
panel concrete slab, so the front of the panel can be accessed without stepping
over any retaining wall boulders.
4. The sewer main between manhole 6 and the lift station has been cleaned out and
the sediment removed from the bottom of the lift station.
5. Sediment in manhole 4 and in the line approximately 5 feet upstream of manhole
4 has been removed.
6. The bumps in the sanitary sewer pipe that were noted will not be excavated and
replaced. Of particular concern was the bump found in the invert of the pipe
located 28' west of manhole 8. Since this line does not presently serve any
connections and is approximately 18' below the surface it was decided to not
excavate and replace this pipe at this time. The possible problem shall be noted
