Clerk's May Staff Report Page 2 of 4 Park Board The Park Board met in May for its monthly meeting. The meeting was held at Bobber Park. The Park Board members decided on a location for Babe the Ox and also located the benches. Safety Committee Meetinr — (See attached minutes) • The Safety Committee met in May. • The monthly group safety training was held at East Gull Lake on May 5th p Planninji and Zoninj Training • Jeanyne attended a second Land Use Training Class on May 21St. Jeanyne acts as a backup to Dawn when Dawn is away from the office. Dawn was on vacation for about a week and a half this month. Jeanyne did a great job assisting customers in her absence (with Community Growth's assistance) Economic Development Committee — (See attached minutes) • The Economic Development Committee met on May 20th to discuss the possible \....- redevelopment of the Industrial Park. The Committee is still in the studying stages of this issue. Projects Annexation • Jenkins Township has submitted a draft joint annexation resolution for our review. This will be reviewed by the committee (Dave Sjoblad, Cathy Malecha, Sandy Peine, and Mike Loven) and by our Attorney. Following this review, the resolution will be presented to the City Council. Police Union • The Committee appointed by the Council (Jim Oraskovich, Dave Sjoblad, Sandy Peine, and Jerry Braam) has reviewed a draft agreement that was submitted by Local Union #346. We have also met with Steve Fecker, our Labor Attorney, by conference call, and put together the City's response to the proposal. This has been sent to the Union. The next step will be to hold a meeting with the Union and our Committee to negotiate terms. Following that meeting we will be in front of the Council in a closed session looking for Council direction. Worker's Comp Audit • Nancy pulled together all of the documents and information required for the Work Comp audit. The audit was held on May 19th at City Hall.
