Clerk's April Staff Report <br /> Page 2 of 2 <br /> Health Insurance <br /> • Nancy Malecha attended a Board meeting of the RMPEC which is the City's <br /> health care coop group. <br /> Planning and Zoning Training <br /> • Jeanyne attended a Land Use Training Class on April 22nd. Jeanyne acts as a <br /> backup to Dawn when Dawn is away from the office <br /> Chamber/Retail Committee <br /> • The Clerk has been attending the local retail group meetings. The retail committee <br /> has indicated that it would like to see the City more involved. <br /> • Nancy Adams and the Clerk attended a retail tour of 14 retail establishments in <br /> Pequot Lakes. This was hosted by the Chamber of Commerce. <br /> Economic Development Committee <br /> • The Economic Development Committee met on April 8th to discuss the possible <br /> expansion of the Industrial Park. Four Council Members were present. Ed Larsen <br /> will give an update of the meeting at the May 6th Council meeting. <br /> Projects <br /> Annexation <br /> • The first meeting was held on April 29th at City Hall. See attached notes. The next <br /> step is to have Jenkins Township call an informational meeting for its residents. <br /> Police Union <br /> • The Committee appointed by the Council is in the process of reviewing the first <br /> draft of the Union Agreement. I am assuming that sometime in April we may be <br /> calling a closed session of the Council to discuss the terms of the agreement. <br />
