MONTHLY STAFF REPORT <br /> �-- City Clerk's Office <br /> April, 2008 <br /> Meetings <br /> City Council Meetin's <br /> The City Council held one regular meeting in April. A special meeting was called on <br /> April 8 for the EDC meeting on the Industrial Park. The Council took the following <br /> actions at the regular April 1st Council meeting: <br /> • Approved the Emergency Operations Plan for the City <br /> • Moved to proceed with an orderly Annexation with Jenkins Township <br /> • Forwarded the Downtown Plan to the EDC for further study <br /> • Amended the Sign Ordinance <br /> • Revised the Summer Water Policy <br /> • Hired Steve Fecker as the City's Labor Attorney <br /> • Appointed a labor negotiating team <br /> • Authorized the Clerk's Office to enter into a lease for a new Copy Machine <br /> • Approved payment to Crow Wing County Treasurer for Appraisal of Tax Forfeit <br /> Land <br /> • Authorized City Attorney to draft an agreement with property owner on South <br /> Oak Street <br /> • Donated $1,500 toward the Governor's Opener <br /> Park Board <br /> The Park Board met in April for its monthly meeting. We did not have a quorum of the <br /> Board so the meeting was canceled. Del Anderson resigned from the Park Board. The <br /> Clerk's office is running ads in the Echo for a new member. <br /> Safety Committee Meeting <br /> • The Safety Committee did not meet in April. <br /> • The monthly group safety training was held at City Hall on April 11th and hosted <br /> by Pine River Area Sanitary District <br /> • Sandy Peine and Mike Loven attended the annual League of Minnesota Cities <br /> Safety and Loss Control Workshop in St. Cloud on April 22nd <br />
