Mr. Spiczka also <br /> said himself, Emma Clarke, and Tim Houle met at Coleman Drive before the <br /> Council meeting and discussed that there is a natural grade if you could take <br /> Coleman Drive and stretch out and it would not be near as steep. He said the <br /> other thing they noticed was if they did curve the road, you could see traffic <br /> coming from the South. He stated that these ideas would be in the City right <br /> away. Mr. Spiczka said there is a concern about public safety with pavement on <br /> the road with the steep grade and he said they believe there is a need for guard <br /> rails. Discussion ensued about storm water run-off, steepness, and pavement of <br /> the road. The Council consensus was to have City Staff explore the option to <br /> stretch out the grade and curve the road. <br /> 9.4. Lead Maintenance Worker Probationary Period <br /> Mr. Spiczka stated that the Lead Maintenance Worker, Nick roy, has completed <br /> his six-month probationary period and the transition has gone smoothly with the <br /> new role. He is recommending a step increase. Mayor Gardner stated that he <br /> has received positive feedback from residents and the Council agreed that he is <br /> doing a good job. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SEILS MOVED TO APPROVE A STEP INCREASE TO <br /> NICK ROY WITH THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF HIS SIX-MONTH <br /> PROBATIONARY PERIOD. COUNCIL MEMBER CLEMENT SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 9.5. Water/Wastewater Services Contract <br /> Rich Spiczka stated the Pine River Area Sanitary District reached out to the City <br /> because they need a Class B license to operate their plant and they would like to <br /> contract with the City. He stated we would provide Andy for four hours a week <br /> which includes two visits a week for two hours and it covers their licensing <br /> component. He stated the goal is to be very short term and is for a period of one <br /> year but can be terminated in 30 days if needed. Mr. Spiczka said that it has <br /> been approved by the PRASD Board already. <br /> MAYOR GARDNER MOVED TO APPROVE THE CONTRACT WITH PINE <br /> RIVER AREA SANITARY DISTRICT(PRASD)TO PROVIDE WASTEWATER <br /> OPERATOR SERVICES AT THE PRASD FACILITIES. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> CLEMENT SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 9.6. 2023 Intended Use Plan Application <br /> Tim Houle stated they did a facility plan for the Lift Station Force Main which was <br /> required by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. He explained another name <br /> for it with one of the funding agencies, is a preliminary engineering report(PER). <br /> He stated WSN submitted that to the MPCA. He informed the Council this project <br /> is on a project priority list, which is a huge list of projects around the state.
