Discussion ensued about getting sketches to the <br /> Committee for feedback and bringing it to the June 7, 2022 Council meeting for <br /> them to decide on. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON MOVED TO APROVE THE WSN <br /> PROPOSAL TO PREPARE REAL TRAFFIC TEMPORARY TEST SECTION <br /> SKETCHES, SUPPLY SKETCHES TO PATRIOT REDESIGN COMMITTEE <br /> FOR FEEDBACK AND PROVIDE A SUMMARY TO COUNCIL AT THE JUNE <br /> 7, 2022 COUNCIL MEETING. COUNCIL MEMBER RONNING SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-1. MAYOR GARDNER OPPOSED. <br /> 5.5. Library Smart Room Funding Request <br /> Mayor Gardner stated the Library is requesting $9,750 to fund a Smart Room at <br /> the Pequot Lakes Library with the funds that were received from the American <br /> Rescue Plan Act. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RONNING MOVED TO APROVE THE LIBRARY'S <br /> REQUEST OF $9,750 FOR A SMART ROOM COMING FROM THE ARPA <br /> FUNDS RECEIVED. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 6. Planning and Zoning <br /> 6.1. Planning Commission Report <br /> The April 27, 2022 Planning Commission Report and April 21, 2022 Planning <br /> Commission minutes were received by Council. <br /> 6.2. Future Sale of Tax Forfeited Land— Pequot Shady Shores <br /> Dawn Bittner stated that Crow Wing County would like to classify the subject tax <br /> forfeited property as " Non-Conservation" so it may be sold in the future at <br /> auction. She stated they are requesting the City's input on reclassifying and <br /> selling the property. She said the Planning Commission is recommending to <br /> reclassify the property with conditions but after the Council report was drafted the <br /> City Administrator and City Engineer met and to determine if any of the parcels <br /> could be used for storm drainage for the Coleman drive project. Ms. Bittner <br /> stated that parcel number 29150684 could be used for potential storm drainage. <br /> She stated if the Council would like to use the parcel for that purpose that they <br /> should not reclassify this parcel as the City has an interest to acquire it for public <br /> use. Discussion ensued to include lots 29150685 and 29150686 as well. <br /> MAYOR GARDNER MOVED TO NOT RECLASSIFY PARCEL NUMBERS <br /> 29150684, 29150685,AND 29150686 TO "NON-CONSERVATION"AS THE <br /> CITY HAS AN INTEREST IN ACQUIRING THEM FOR A PUBLIC PURPOSE. <br /> THE REMAINDER OF THE TAX FORFEIT PARCELS THAT DO NOT <br /> CONTAIN BUILDING ENCROACHMENTS SHALL BE RECLASSIFIED TO <br />
