City Council Minutes <br /> January 8, 2008 <br /> Page 8 of 10 <br /> ----------------------------- <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION <br /> 08-05 DESIGNATING AND ACCEPTING BERGQUIST DRIVE AS A <br /> CITY STREET. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 12.3. Tax Forfeit Land <br /> Mike Loven explained that the County has informed the City of a <br /> classification of four tax forfeited lots to "Non-Conservation" which means <br /> that they will be put up for future sale. Mike explained that the City may be <br /> interested in purchasing the lots for future storm water storage purposes. <br /> He informed the Council that the City would be required to pay the <br /> appraisal costs if the City is interested in purchasing the lots. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE CLERK TO <br /> SEND A LETTER TO THE CROW WING COUNTY LAND <br /> COMMISSIONER INDICATING THE CITY IS INTERESTED IN <br /> PURSUING THE PURCHASE OF LOTS 3, 4, 5, AND 6, BLOCK 3, OF <br /> KLATTE'S ADDITION TO THE VILLAGE OF PEQUOT AND ADJACENT <br /> PORTION OF VACATED OAK STREET TO BE USED FOR FUTURE <br /> STORM WATER STORAGE AND THAT THE CITY WILL PAY THE <br /> APPRAISAL COSTS. COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 12.4. Letter of Support for County Protect <br /> Mike Loven stated that the County Assistant Engineer is requesting a <br /> letter of support from the City for a project that could potentially receive <br /> federal funding involving CSAH 11 from east of CR 112 to CSAH 4. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO AUTHORIZE STAFF TO <br /> SEND A LETTER OF SUPPORT TO THE COUNTY REGARDING THE <br /> PROJECT. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 12.5. Transfer of Funds <br /> Mike Loven explained that during the year of 2007 the Street Department <br /> employees assisted the Water and Sewer Departments. Mr. Loven <br /> suggested that in order to get a true reflection of operating costs the hours <br /> that have been recorded by the Street Department employees that were <br /> spent on water and wastewater duties should be transferred to the <br /> General Fund. <br />
