City Council Minutes <br /> January 8, 2008 <br /> Page 9 of 10 <br /> ----------------------------- <br /> Council Member Ryan indicated that he would like the funds to be <br /> transferred in the 2007 budget. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO TRANSFER $2,869 FROM <br /> THE WATER FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND AND $4,899 FROM THE <br /> SEWER FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND FOR HOURS THAT WERE <br /> RECORDED BY THE STREET DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES THAT <br /> WERE SPENT ON WATER AND WASTEWATER DUTIES AND <br /> FURTHER THAT THE TRANSFER BE REFLECTED IN THE 2007 <br /> BUDGET. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 12.6. Street Sign Replacement <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION <br /> 08-06 AUTHORIZING REPLACEMENT OF A STREET LIGHT AT <br /> GOVERNMENT DRIVE AND EAST SIBLEY STREET. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5- <br /> 0. <br /> 13. City Engineer <br /> City Engineer Tim Houle updated the Council on the South Oak Street <br /> issue relating to negotiations with the School and an issue resulting from <br /> the project with a private property owner. He further noted that the <br /> committee is in negotiation with the school regarding the City acquiring a <br /> 33 foot easement. Tim explained that the Council has appointed a <br /> committee to deal with the matter. He further explained that the committee <br /> has been meeting regarding the matter. Mr. Houle informed the Council <br /> that he will be providing the Council with an engineering proposal for this <br /> issue. <br /> 14. Other Business <br /> Council Member Ryan suggested that the Economic Development <br /> committee provide a report to the Council. <br />
