City Council Minutes <br /> November 2,2021 <br /> Page 5 of 7 <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE FEASIBILITY <br /> STUDY FOR COLEMAN DRIVE. COUNCIL MEMBER CLEMENT SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 10.1. Administration Report <br /> Mr. Spiczka explained the staff report. <br /> 10.2 Draft Boards and Commissions Minutes <br /> The following items were received by Council. <br /> • October 19, 2021, draft EDC minutes <br /> • October 14, 2021, draft Park minutes <br /> 10.3. Splash Pad <br /> Mayor Gardner presented the staff report. <br /> Jenni Gonczy, 3940 Hubbard Street, has been waiting for the approval from the <br /> Council to start fund raising efforts for the Splash Pad. Ms. Gonczy has stated <br /> Community Action of Pequot Lakes can control the funds through their non-profit. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE <br /> CONSTRUCTION OF THE SPLASH PAD IN TRAILSIDE PARK IN 2022, AS <br /> LONG AS NO TAX LEVY FUNDS ARE NEEDED FOR THE BUILD. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER RONNING SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 10.4. 2022 Preliminary Levy <br /> Ms. Duus presented the staff report. <br /> Discussion ensued regarding IT upgrades, additions and subtractions to the <br /> original preliminary levy, and personnel committee recommendations. <br /> MAYOR GARDNER MOVED TO ACCEPT THE CHANGES PRESENTED TO <br /> THE 2022 PRELIMINARY BUDGET. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> Consensus of the council is for staff to update the budget with the personnel <br /> committee recommendations below: <br /> 1. Jenny—change job title to deputy clerk, wage increase to move to grade <br /> 11, step 2. <br /> 2. Angie—wage increase, stay in grade 14 but move to step 6. <br /> 3. Rich—wage increase, stay in grade 25 but move to step 5. <br /> And bring to the December 2, 2021, meeting for final approval. <br />
