Administration <br /> <br />The following items were received by Council. <br />x September 10, 2020 draft Park Commission notes <br />x September 15, 2020 draft EDC Minutes <br />x September 15, 2020 HRA Minutes <br /> <br />10.1A COVID-19 Pandemic Relief Considerations – Request to Forgive Rent for Pequot <br />Lakes Chamber <br /> <br /> Ms. Wasserman spoke regarding forgiving the rent for the Pequot Lakes <br />Chamber due to the loss of 60% of their revenue. <br /> <br />COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON MOVED TO FORGIVE THE OCTOBER- <br />DECEMBER 2020 LEASE PAYMENTS FROM THE BRAINERD LAKES <br />CHAMBER OF COMMERS IN THE TOTAL OF $2,325 AND FOR THE YEAR <br />2021 IN THE AMOUNT OF $9,300 FOR THE PEQUOT LAKES WELCOME <br />CENTER. COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br /> <br />10.1B COVID-19 Pandemic Relief Considerations – Pequot Lakes Industrial Park Lot 1, <br />Block 2- Real Property Intended Use Extension – Dotty Holdings <br /> <br /> Ms. Duus explained that on September 15, 2020, the Economic Development <br />Commission recommended the Council approve Mr. Dotty’s request for a one- <br />year extension to complete condition #3 (new office building) on the warranty <br />deed for his Lot 1, Block 2, Pequot Lakes Industrial Park property due to Covid- <br />19 Pandemic as long as it is completed by November 2, 2021. <br /> <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE ONE YEAR <br />EXTENSION TO COMPLETE CONDITION # 3 ON THE WARRANTY DEED BY <br />NOVEMBER 2, 2021. COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> <br />10.2. 2021 Preliminary Budget <br /> <br />Ms. Duus asked the Council for directive on changes, if any, to the 2021 <br />Preliminary Budget. <br /> <br />Council Member Swanson inquired about the $3 million in the Cooperative <br />Project for Buschmann, Ackerson, Nelson and Wild Acres Road. Mr. Gorr stated <br />this can be removed depending on the Council’s decision on the project. <br /> <br />Council Member Pederson gave some suggestions for reducing the budget. The <br />consensus of the Council is to hold conversations regarding the budget until the <br />City receives the tax rate information from Crow Wing County in late October.
