MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />6. Planning and Zoning Department Monthly Report <br />Report received by Council. <br />6.1. Planning Commission Report <br />Report received by Council. No action required by the Council. <br />7. Fire Department Monthly Report <br />Report received by Council. <br />7.1. Grant Application <br />Fire Chief Tom Nelson explained that the Fire Department has applied for <br />two grants. Both grant applications were made to FEMA. One application <br />is for Air Packs at $112,000 which requires a 5% City -cost share. The <br />other application is for a grass rig at $130,000 which also requires a 5% <br />�-- City -cost share. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE GRANT <br />APPLICATIONS TO FEMA. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />7.2. Discussion on Fire Contract Formula <br />Mayor Adams noted that the Fire Board has asked that each Council and <br />Town Board consider a revision to the fire contract formula with regard to <br />fire calls. She noted that the Fire Board members felt that using all fire <br />calls in the formula would be the fairest option. <br />Mayor Adams noted that the formula is currently based on structure fires <br />only and the proposal is to include all fire calls. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO SUPPORT A CHANGE IN THE <br />FORMULA THAT WOULD SUPPORT A CONTRACT USING ALL FIRE <br />CALLS IN THE CONTRACT CALCULATION. COUNCIL MEMBER <br />MALECHA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />8. Police Department Monthly Report <br />Report received by Council. <br />
