City Council Minutes <br />April 7, 2009 <br />Page 6 of 10 <br />-------------------- - - - - -- <br />Report accepted by Council. <br />9.B.1. Request from Crow Wing County to turn Back a Segment of County Road <br />107 <br />Mike Loven explained that the Crow Wing County Engineer has <br />determined that the eastern leg of County Road 107 is no longer essential <br />to the County road system. He noted that the County would like to turn this <br />segment of road back to the cities of Nisswa and Pequot Lakes. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO SUPPORT THE PROPOSAL <br />TO TURN BACK A SEGMENT OF COUNTY ROAD 107 THE CITY OF <br />PEQUOT LAKES. COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. <br />Council Member Ryan questioned the cost to maintain the road. Mike <br />Loven stated that the cost would be minimal. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />10. City Engineer <br />10.1. Highway 371 Resolution <br />Tim Houle reviewed the resolution in support of federal funding for the <br />Highway 371 corridor project. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 09- <br />10 SUPPORTING THE EXPANSION OF TRUNK HIGHWAY 371 <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF NISSWA AND THE CITY OF PINE RIVER, <br />INCLUDING THE CITIES OF PEQUOT LAKES AND JENKINS AND THE <br />COUNTIES OF CROW WING AND CASS, MINNESOTA. COUNCIL <br />MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />Mayor Adams noted that the cities of Nisswa, Jenkins, and Pine River, <br />have adopted similar resolutions and Breezy Point has adopted a <br />resolution of support. <br />4 -1. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN OPPOSED. <br />10.2. Consider Bids for South Oak Street Project <br />
