Planning Commission Appointments <br />Mayor Adams noted that the City has received two applications for the two <br />Planning Commission openings from Mark Hallan and John Derksen. <br />MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO REAPPOINT MARK HALLAN AND JOHN <br />DERKSEN TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR THREE YEAR <br />TERMS TO EXPIRE ON DECEMBER 31, 2011. COUNCIL MEMBER <br />MALECHA SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />Council Member Ryan stated that because the City did not receive <br />applicants other than those whose terms have expired, that this should <br />have been brought to the Council. <br />MOTION CARRIED 2 -1. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN VOTING NAY. <br />MAYOR ADAMS AND COUNCILMEMBER MALECHA VOTING AYE. <br />7. Fire Department Monthly Report <br />Report received by Council. <br />`-' 7.1. Request to Sell 1975 Pumper <br />Chief Tom Nelson stated that the Fire Department would like to sell the <br />1975 pumper truck. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE FIRE <br />DEPARTMENT TO SELL THE 1975 PUMPER THROUGH THE STATE <br />OF MINNESOTA AUCTION WEB SITE. COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3 -0. <br />8. Police Department Monthly Report <br />Report received by Council. <br />Budget Discussion — K -9 Program <br />Chief Braam stated that he would like to distribute a memo from Officer <br />Gartner regarding his offer to continue the K -9 program and to cease his <br />pay related to the K -9 program. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO ACCEPT OFFICER <br />GARTNER'S PROPOSAL REGARDING CONTINUATION OF THE <br />M <br />
