3. The last item on the agenda for the 6:30 p.m. meeting will be scheduled no <br /> `- later than 9:00 p.m. <br /> 4. If all business has not been completed, the meeting may be continued to <br /> another date and time to complete the scheduled agenda without further <br /> notice being required. <br /> 5. Public hearings will normally be scheduled for an evening meeting. <br /> K. Order of Business. Each meeting of the Council shall convene at the time and <br /> place appointed. Council business shall be conducted in the following order: <br /> 1) Call to Order/Pledge of Allegiance <br /> 2) Consider Agenda <br /> 3) Consent Agenda <br /> 4) Open Forum <br /> 5) Board/Commission/Consultant Reports <br /> 6) Planning and Zoning <br /> 7) Staff Reports <br /> 8) Other Business <br /> 9) Adjournment <br /> a. Varying — the order of business may be varied by the <br /> `. presiding officer, but all public hearings shall be held at the time <br /> specified in the agenda. <br /> L. Agenda. The Clerk shall prepare an agenda of business for each regular Council <br /> meeting. The agenda shall be prepared in accordance with the order of business <br /> and copies shall be delivered to each Council Member by the Thursday before the <br /> Tuesday meeting day. No item of business shall be considered unless it appears <br /> on the agenda for the meeting or is approved for addition to the agenda by a <br /> unanimous vote of the Council Members present. <br /> 1. Agenda Material — The Clerk shall see that at least one copy of printed <br /> materials relating to agenda items is available to the public in the meeting <br /> room while the Council considers their subject matter. The agenda item <br /> shall not be considered unless this provision is complied with. This section <br /> does not apply to materials that are classified as other than public under <br /> the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act or materials from closed <br /> meetings. <br /> 2. Consent Agendas—Consent agenda items are considered to be routine and <br /> noncontroversial by the Council and will be approved by one motion. <br /> There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Council <br /> Member, staff member, or citizen so requests, in which case the item will <br /> 6 <br />
