City Council Minutes <br /> December 7, 2010 <br /> Page 9 of 11 <br /> support in reorganizing the Public Works Department back to separate <br /> departments. <br /> Council Member Malecha stated that before we move forward she would <br /> like to see a current job description and would like this reviewed by the <br /> Pay Equity Committee. Council Member Malecha further stated that the <br /> City just passed the 2011 budget and levy and noted that this change <br /> would realize approximately $35,000 to $40,000 in additional expenses to <br /> the general fund budget. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA MOVED TO TABLE COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER RYAN'S PROPOSAL UNTIL HER CONCERNS ARE <br /> REVIEWED BY THE PAY EQUITY COMMISSION. MAYOR ADAMS <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-1. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER RYAN OPPOSED. <br /> Mayor Adams stated she would like to discuss this at the same time as the <br /> police department work shop. Council Member Sjoblad stated he would <br /> like to keep track of the time that Mike, Lance, and Kurt spend in the water <br /> and sewer departments and reconcile it at the end of the year. Council <br /> Member Ryan stated he would like to allocate 10% to the sewer and water <br /> departments for each of the street department employees which would <br /> eliminate the need to keep track of hours spent. <br /> Council Member Ryan requested Council direction to have the Pay Equity <br /> Committee review this issue and bring it back to the January Council <br /> Meeting. Mayor Adams stated she would like to have the Council review <br /> the department structure to ensure that all is running properly. <br /> 11. City Engineer <br /> 11.1. West Lake Street Project Change Order#4 <br /> The Clerk noted that change order#4 results in a deduct of $504.02 in the <br /> contract price. The change order is a result of a reconciliation of as-builts. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA MOVED TO APPROVE CHANGE <br /> ORDER #4 IN THE AMOUNT OF $504.02. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 11.2. West Lake Street Project Final Payment <br />
