Planninq Commission Report <br /> The October 31, 2018 Planning Commission Report and the October 18, <br /> 2018 Planning Commission Meeting minutes were received by Council. <br /> 6.2. Planninq Commission Vacancv <br /> The Council acknowledged the resignation of Douglas Leckband from the <br /> Planning Commission. <br /> 6.3. Comprehensive Plan Update <br /> Dawn Bittner explained the City gathered comments from many City and <br /> community groups and an updated Comprehensive Plan has been <br /> prepared based on the feedback and edits collected over the past several <br /> months. Ms. Bittner noted that the Planning Commission is unanimously <br /> recommending the Comprehensive Plan update be adopted as presented. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO APPROVE RESOLUTION <br /> 18-31 ADOPTING A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE CITY OF <br /> PEQUOT LAKES. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-1. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON <br /> OPPOSED. <br /> Council Member Akerson stated that he is opposed to approving the <br /> Comprehensive Plan as he would like to wait for the new administration to <br /> begin and he has not had time to read the document. <br /> Council Member Loukota noted that it is a lengthy document but it is part <br /> of the Council's job to do their homework before the meetings. <br /> Mayor Adams thanked Dawn Bittner, the Planning Commission, and the <br /> various groups for their input and hard work on this Plan update. <br /> 7. Fire Report <br /> The September and October 2018 Fire Department Operation Reports <br /> and the October 24, 2018 Fire Board Meeting minutes were received by <br /> Council. <br /> 7.1. Compeer Financial Grant <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO ACCEPT THE GRANT <br /> FROM COMPEER FINANCIAL IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,000 FOR THE <br />
