Capital Improvement Plan Discussion Ms. Malecha explained what the Capital Improvement Plan is, why items need to be budgeted on the plan and how to get items included within the plan. Ms. Malecha suggested the Park Commission come up with a list of what they would like to happen in all parks, improvements, etc. and prioritize the list to allow time and budgeting of these items. Chair Ronning asked the commission to come up with ideas and keep this item on the agenda for future meetings. Ms. Malecha went over the current 2018 budget and 2019 preliminary budget with the Commission. Chair Ronning would like the Commission to review the budget on a quarterly basis. 7. Holidav Decorations Commissioner Johnson met Lance Ray with Public Works to see what lights we had in stock for decorating Trailside Park. Mr. Ray and Commissioner Johnson thought of some different ideas for the lights bringing more color into the park. Commissioner Johnson said there is an issue with where the lights can be plugged into power. The light pole on the north side of the park does not work; if funds are available an electrician could be hired to see what the problem is. Discussion ensued for possibly renting the lift for two days and purchase more colored lights decorating the fence around the playground with lit garland. Ms. Bittner will print off a map with a diagram as to how and which lights were hung where. Chair Ronning wanted to discuss the Santa's Bobbin' into Town parade float. Ms. Bittner stated that a plan needs to be in place at the November meeting for the float along with volunteers to build and tear down the float for the Park Commission. The December meeting will be held on December 6 to decorate the float. 8. 2019 Proiect Priorities Ms. Bittner reiterated that we will need to put a list together at the November meeting to give to Ms. Malecha and the City Council in December. 9. Siblev Park Ms. Bittner provided photos of the steps to the fishing pier that were replaced by the Sibley Lake Association. The Commission agreed that a thank you be sent to the Sibley Lake Association for their work on repairing/replacing the steps to the pier. Ms. Bittner stated that the Babinski Playground Sign was damaged for the second time. Discussion ensued as to a possible resolution. Bittner was directed to contact Chris Holmes of Graphic Element for suggestions. 10. America Walks Grant
