MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE <br /> SUMMARY PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE 18-07. MAYOR ADAMS <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0 <br /> 9.5 Road Sqecification Guidelines <br /> Tim Houle presented the road standards/specification guidelines that the <br /> Road Specifications Committee created. Mr. Houle stated the information is <br /> to be used as guidelines rather than policies. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE ROAD <br /> STANDARDS/SPECIFICATION GUIDELINES AS PRESENTED BY THE <br /> CITY ROAD SPECIFICATIONS COMMITTEE AND NULLIFYING ANY <br /> PRIOR ROAD SPECIFICATION POLICIES OF THE CITY. MAYOR <br /> ADAMS SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> Council Member Akerson questioned if these guidelines would be used for <br /> any roads that the City would be asked to take over. Mr. Houle explained <br /> the guidelines will be used for any new road acquisitions, any reconstructed <br /> roads, and any newly constructed roads. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 9.7. Trailside Park Master Plan Project <br /> A. Traffic Study <br /> Council Member Akerson stated due to several concems about closing a <br /> segment of Patriot Avenue for the Trailside Park Project he would like to <br /> request a formal traffic study be performed. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO AUTHORIZE WIDSETH <br /> SMITH NOLTING TO SOLICIT BIDS FOR THE REQUIRED TRAFFIC <br /> STUDIES AS TO THE IMPACT TO CURRENT AND FUTURE TRAFFIC <br /> PATTERNS DUE TO THE PROPOSED PROJECT AND DETERMINE <br /> WHICH INTERSECTIONS WOULD BE MOST BENEFICIAL, WITH <br /> ANALYSIS ON POTENTIAL IMPACTS AND SAFETY ISSUES. THESE <br /> STUDIES ARE TO OCCUR AT INTERVALS THAT WILL BEST <br /> DETERMINE PATTERNS AND IMPACT. AT A MINIMUM, THE FIRST <br /> TRAFFIC STUDY SHOULD BE CONDUCTED IN MID-JULY TO MID- <br /> AUGUST, AND THE SECOND WOULD BE CONDUCTED IN MID- <br /> NOVEMBER TO MID-DECEMBER. FURTHERMORE, IT IS <br /> RECOMMENDED WITH THIS MOTION THAT ANY AND ALL ACTIVITY <br /> RELATED TO THE PROPOSED PROJECT BE SUSPENDED <br /> INDEFINITELY UNTIL SUCH TIME THAT ALL QUESTIONS AND <br /> June 21, 2oi8 Staff Report Page 4 <br />
