I� <br /> Mr. Conner verified that the marketing graphic would be provided later. <br /> Chair Jurchen stated an affirmative response from the prospective buyer , <br /> would move the marketing forward. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> Chair Jurchen requested a motion for the Planning Commission to explore <br /> rezoning the parcels to a mixed use class�cation. <br /> COMMISSIONER RIECK MOVED TO REQUEST THE PLANNING <br /> COMMMISSION TO REZONE THE PARCELS TO A MIXED USE <br /> CLASSIFICATION. <br /> Commissioner Lubke asked for clarification of mixed use. A Light <br /> Industrial or Commercial classification can include a hotel or a restaurant. <br /> Mr. Burslie stated we currently do not have a classification to cover the <br /> uses discussed. He suggested not rezoning the property until we get to <br /> the platting phase when we have a better idea of what is being proposed. <br /> COMMISSIONER RIECK RECINDED HER MOTION. <br /> Commissioner Lindholm appreciated the Planning Commissions insight in <br /> their Memo regarding not all uses are compatible. <br /> Chris Monroe suggested a tiered approach to the zoning with Light <br /> Industrial on the top, Commercial in the middle and Recreation on the <br /> bottom. Commissioner Lindholm asked Mr. Burslie to convey this <br /> suggestion to the Planning Commission. <br /> Mr. Conner clarified the EDC is requesting an updated layout of Option 3 <br /> for the City Council including the ballfields, but removing the hotel and <br /> office. The EDC concurred and requested acreage be included. <br /> Commissioner Lindholm stated the School Board has not made a <br /> recommendation yet. <br /> Mr. Loven pointed out the only limiting factor is water usage. The City <br /> would need to know far in advance if large water users are moving in. <br />
