Special City Council Minutes <br /> January 16, 2018 <br /> Page 3 of 8 <br /> ----------------------------- <br /> Mayor Adams noted that there is a housing section in the City's <br /> Comprehensive Plan and wondered if it would be appropriate <br /> for the HRA to review this section as it relates to their projects. <br /> The consensus of the Council agreed to direct the HRA to <br /> review the housing section of the City's Comprehensive Plan. <br /> D. Park Commission <br /> Dan Ronning and Craig Nagel presented the project priorities <br /> for the Park Commission. <br /> • Trailside Park Project— Phase 1. <br /> • Establish a temporary skate park and possibly work into a <br /> long-term plan for a skate park. <br /> • Establish WiFi for Trailside Park. ' <br /> • Install irrigation system on south side of Trailside Park. �� <br /> Council Member Pederson requested clarification on the start ' <br /> date for the construction of Trailside Park— Phase 1. Mayor <br /> Adams confirmed that the construction will begin once we get ' <br /> the road turn backs. Mayor Adams added the construction will � <br /> not interfere with any of the business activity because the <br /> construction area will be fenced off and all of the construction <br /> activity will be inside of the fenced areas. <br /> E. Planning Commission <br /> Dawn Bittner and Mark Hallan presented the project priorities for <br /> the Planning Commission. <br /> Transportation <br /> • Identify potential development opportunities along Highway <br /> 371, Patriot Avenue, and the Grow Zone. <br /> • Long-term road maintenance policy. <br /> • Properly scale Patriot Avenue and County Road 11 corridors <br /> and maintain character. <br /> Housing ', <br /> • Rehabilitation plan for existing homes. '�, <br /> • Target list of redevelopment properties. <br /> • Improve substandard housing. ', <br /> Council Member Swanson requested clarification of the Grow <br /> Zone.
