City Council Minutes <br /> January 2, 2018 <br /> Page 3 of 9 <br /> ----------------------------- <br /> nuisance and remedy the code violations as stated in Resolution 17-17 <br /> adopted on June 6, 2017. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY TO <br /> INITIATE ANY AND ALL LEGAL PROCEEDINGS NECESSARY TO <br /> ABATE THE NUISANCE AND REMEDY THE CODE VIOLATIONS OF <br /> THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 31051 PINE STREET AS STATED IN <br /> RESOLUTION 17-17 ADOPTED ON JUNE 6, 2017. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 3-1. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON OPPOSED. <br /> 6.3. Planning Commission MeetinA Liaisons <br /> Dawn Bittner informed the Council of the 2018 Council Liaison Schedule <br /> for attendance at Planning Commission meetings. <br /> 6.4. PlanninA Department Year-End Report <br /> Dawn Bittner presented the Year End Report for the Planning and Zoning <br /> Department. <br /> 7. Fire <br /> The November 2017 Fire Department Operations Report was received by <br /> Council. <br /> 8. Police Department Report <br /> The November 2017 Police Department Report was received by Council. <br /> 8.1. Weapons & Explosives Ordinance Amendment <br /> Chief Eric Klang presented the proposed changes to the Weapons & <br /> Explosives Ordinance. Chief Klang indicated the reason for the change <br /> was to align the City's ordinance with State Statutes. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO APPROVE ORDINANCE <br /> 18-01 AMENDING CITY CODE SECTION 9.7 REGULATING THE <br /> SELLING, GIVING AWAY, OWNING, POSSESSING AND DISCHARGE <br /> OF WEAPONS AND EXPLOSIVES WITHIN THE CITY. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER LOUKOTA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4- <br /> 0. <br />
