City Council Minutes <br /> December 5, 2017 <br /> Page 10 of 13 <br /> ----------------------------- <br /> The consensus of the Council agreed to proceed with the Transportation <br /> Alternatives Grant application process for the projects noted in the letter of I <br /> intent. <br /> Tim Houle noted that Widseth Smith Nolting has funding specialists <br /> available who can assist Nancy Malecha in researching the program and � <br /> offer some initial consulting. � <br /> �, <br /> 10. Administration <br /> The following items were received by Council. � <br /> • November 14, 2017 TCI Steering Committee minutes <br /> • November 14, 2017 draft Park Commission minutes <br /> • November 21, 2017 draft EDC minutes <br /> • November 21, 2017 HRA minutes <br /> 10.1. The Heart of the Good Life Loao <br /> Nancy Malecha presented a logo to coincide with "The Heart of the Good <br /> Life" slogan. The Pequot Lakes TCI Economy Task Force and Steering <br /> Committee are recommending its approval. Ms. Malecha added the City <br /> received a grant from the Initiative Foundation in fihe amount of$5,000 <br /> and a portion will be used for the federal registration of the logo. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO APPROVE THE PEQUOT <br /> LAKES COMMUNITY LOGO FOR "THE HEART OF THE GOOD LIFE" <br /> AND ITS REGISTRATION ON THE FEDERAL REGISTRY. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER SWANSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED <br /> 5-0. <br /> 10.2. Statutory Limit Waiver <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED NOT TO WAIVE THE <br /> STATUTORY TORT LIMITS. COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 10.3. Legal Services Rate Chanqes <br /> Nancy Malecha informed the Council that the City received a notice of <br /> hourly rate changes from Flaherty & Hood, P.A. for the following <br /> professional services. <br /> • General Municipal Matters — Hourly rate will be increasing from <br /> $125 to $135. <br />
