City Council Minutes <br /> December 5, 2017 <br /> Page 9 of 13 <br /> ----------------------------- <br /> Nancy Malecha presented the two quotes received from Greystone <br /> Construction and Legacy Building Solutions for the salt storage shed. Ms. <br /> Malecha noted that Council approval would likely be requested in <br /> February to align with the awarding of bids for the Maintenance Facility <br /> Project. <br /> 9.5. VWVfF Final Release of Retaina�e <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO APPROVE THE FINAL <br /> RELEASE OF RETAINAGE FROM BORDEN EXCAVATING FOR THE <br /> WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY ROW IRRIGATION PROJECT <br /> IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,000. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 9.6. Equipment Use Apreement for Water and Wastewater Operations <br /> Services <br /> Nancy Malecha explained the revisions to the Equipment Use Agreement <br /> with the Pine River Area Sanitary District (PRASD) were added to provide <br /> insurance coverage language as City equipment could be utilized by other <br /> entities serviced by the PRASD. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO APPROVE THE AMENDED <br /> EQUIPMENT USE AGREEMENT FOR WATER AND WASTEWATER <br /> OPERATIONS SERVICES BETWEEN THE PINE RIVER AREA <br /> SANITARY DISTRICT AND THE CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED <br /> 5-0. <br /> 9.7. Transportation Alternatives Grant <br /> Mayor Adams explained that she and Nancy Malecha submitted a notice <br /> of intent for a Transportation Alternatives Grant which included <br /> improvements to a portion of Old Hwy 371(Rasmussen Road), East <br /> Woodman Street, the south end of Government Drive and a small section <br /> of Main Street. The City was recently notified that they have been <br /> selected to proceed to the next phase of the application process. <br /> Mayor Adams and Nancy Malecha requested a consensus from the <br /> Council on if they should proceed with the Grant application as the <br /> Council's primary focus has been on the entire segment of Rasmussen <br /> Road and funding would not occur until 2022. <br />
