Shared Roads Plan Update <br /> Mayor Adams explained that a meeting was held with representatives <br /> from Loon Lake Township to discuss a shared roads improvement plan for <br /> North Sluetter and Myers Roads. She added that Loon Lake Township is <br /> not interested in the improvements to North Sluetter Road and are only <br /> interested in improvements to Myers Road. <br /> Mayor Adams suggested directing Mike Loven to ge�a bid from Anderson <br /> Brothers for the paving of North Sluetter Road according to City <br /> specifications and then provide this information to the residents along this <br /> Road for their determination on the funding mechanism for the entire <br /> Road. <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding the definition of rustic roads and <br /> smart streets, City street standards, other shared roads, and the speed <br /> and safety of bikers and walkers along North Sluetter Road. <br /> Council Member Akerson suggested that if the City is looking at improving <br /> North Sluetter Road then Wildlife Trail should be tvoked at. Mayor Adams <br /> questioned how the improvements to�tVildlife Trail would be funded. Mr. <br /> Czech added that the bid they received from Anderson Brothers for the <br /> paving of Wildlife Trail was around $80,000. <br /> Council Member Pederson questioned why the City could not pave North <br /> Sluetter Road as is without following City specifications. He added that <br /> ordinances can be changed and he is for changing the City's road <br /> specifications. <br /> Council Member Loukota stated that Myers Road is getting rough with the <br /> increased traffic level due to the changes from the Highway 371 project. <br /> Counc'rl Member Akerson noted that there is no tax dollar benefit for the <br /> City on Myers Road. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO DIRECT MIKE LOVEN TO <br /> GET A QUOTE FROM ANDERSON BROTHERS FOR THE PAVING OF <br /> NORTH SLUETTER ROAD AS IS. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 9.4. Maintenance Facility Project <br />
