City Council Minutes <br /> September 5, 2017 <br /> Page 7 of 10 <br /> ----------------------------- <br /> The Council directed Staff to compile specific tasks for the additional <br /> employee, average number of snow events per year, current overtime <br /> hours for existing employees, and the creation of two separate agenda <br /> items for the next meeting. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON RESCINDED HIS MOTION. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER LOUKOTA RESCINDED HIS SECOND TO THE MOTION. <br /> 9.4. 2018 Proposed Street Improvement Projects <br /> Tim Houle asked Council for dire�tion on three road projects consisting of <br /> East Sibley Street, County Road 112, and the Downtown SE Street <br /> Quadrant that are being considered for 2018. The opportune time to go <br /> out to bid would be in March of 2018. <br /> Mayor Adams stated that the number one priority project of the roads <br /> listed would be East Sibley Street due to the Trailside Park Master Plan <br /> Project. <br /> Council Member Akerson noted that the Council needs to be mindful of <br /> the impacts these projects will have on the business community. <br /> Tim Houle clarified that the City is receiving turnback funds for County <br /> Road 112. Council Member Pederson stated that the City would not need <br /> to levy for this project because the City could pay for this project utilizing <br /> turnback monies. <br /> 9.5. Shared Roads Plan <br /> Nancy Malecha provided a list and map of the shared roads in Pequot <br /> Lakes and asked for Council direction on a cost sharing road improvement <br /> plan for the shared roads. <br /> The consensus of the Council directed Nancy Malecha, Mike Loven, and <br /> Mayor Adams to begin discussions with Loon Lake Township for a shared <br /> road improvement plan for North Sluetter Road and Myers Road. <br /> 9.6. Maintenance Facility Project <br /> Tim Houle updated the Council on the Maintenance Facility Project. Mr. <br /> Houle noted that authorization will be needed in the coming months to <br /> advertise and bid this Project. The City will procure the furnishing and <br /> installation of the salt storage fabric arch structure which will be indicated <br /> to the building contractor. <br />
