Skateboard Park Location <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE MNDOT <br /> PARCEL SOUTH OF EAST WOODMAN STREET BETWEEN EXISTING <br /> HIGHWAY 371 AND THE PAUL BUNYAN TRAIL AS THE PREFERRED <br /> LOCATION FOR THE SKATE PARK CONTINGENT ON THE STORM <br /> WATER STUDY. MAYOR ADAMS SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 9.4.B. Trailside Park Master Plan Amenities <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE <br /> TRAILSIDE PARK AMENITY DESIGN CONCEPTS AS <br /> RECOMMENDED BY THE PARK COMMISSION. MAYOR ADAMS <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 10. Administration <br /> The following items were received by Council. <br /> • May 11, 2017 draft Park Commission minutes <br /> • May 12, 2017 draft Preserve Golf Course Environmental Advisory <br /> Committee minutes <br /> • May 16, 2017 draft EDC minutes <br /> • May 16, 2017 HRA minutes <br /> • May 17, 2017 Pequot Lakes TCI Steering Committee minutes <br /> 10.1. Fiber Optics Construction <br /> Chris Lindholm presented an update to the Council on the high speed <br /> broadband connectivity to the City's Business Park. Mr. Lindholm <br /> explained the Economic Development Commission (EDC) has met with <br /> TDS and Charter representatives <br /> on high speed internet issues within the Business Park. Recently, TDS <br /> presented a construction proposal to place fiber optics within this area for <br /> approximately $150,000 to serve both the existing Business Park and <br /> future expansion south of the Business Park and the EDC would like a <br /> directive from the Council on how to proceed. <br /> Mayor Adams requested there be at least one or two more proposals <br /> presented for consideration as well as more cost effective pricing on <br /> minimum broadband speeds needed for the Minnesota Department of <br />
