City Council Minutes <br /> June 6, 2017 <br /> Page 5 of 9 <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding the possibility and safety of the skate <br /> park and the storm water basin being located on the same site or if the <br /> storm water basin could be moved further south. Mr. Houle requested <br /> Council consensus to proceed with the cost estimation of this project. <br /> The consensus of the Council agreed to proceed with the cost estimation <br /> of the storm water project using the original sketch and moving the basin <br /> further south. <br /> 9.2. Maintenance Facility Schematic Design <br /> Tim Houle explained that building layouts and renderings were discussed <br /> by the Core Team on May 25th and he presented recommendations for the <br /> Council to consider. <br /> MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO APPROVE RECOMMENDATION #1 — <br /> BUILDING SCHEMATIC DESIGN. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON MOVED TO APPROVE <br /> RECOMMENDATION #2 — PLACING THE FACILITY ON CITY <br /> PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF DERKSEN <br /> ROAD AND MOREHOUSE DRIVE WITH THE SITE SURVEYED TO 5 <br /> ACRES. MAYOR ADAMS SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 3-0. <br /> MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO APPROVE RECOMMENDATION #4— <br /> PROPOSAL FOR DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE NEW MAINTENANCE <br /> FACILITY FROM WIDSETH SMITH NOLTING AT A COST OF $73,400. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 3-0. <br /> The Council concurred with Recommendation #3 to allow for a <br /> transitionary moving period and not construct a cold storage building right <br /> away. <br /> 9.3. Master Partnership Contract with MnDOT <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 17- <br /> 22 ENTERING INTO A MASTER PARTNERSHIP CONTRACT WITH <br /> THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER SWANSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED <br /> 3-0 <br />
