City Council Special Meeting Minutes <br /> June 6, 2017 <br /> Page 2 of 4 <br /> City Attorney Scott explained that the resolution the Council is considering <br /> would declare this property to be a public nuisance and the garage, <br /> breezeway, manufactured home, and deck would need to be removed <br /> from the site by July 7, 2017. <br /> Ms. Swenson stated the garage is strong and stable and could easily be <br /> repaired. She further noted that the trailer will be removed. Ms. Bittner <br /> explained that an accessory structure is not allowed without a primary <br /> structure. <br /> Ms. Swenson expressed her concern about the 30 day deadline. Council <br /> Member Akerson questioned Ms. Swenson as to what an acceptable <br /> deadline date would be. Mayor Adams presented deadline dates of July <br /> 31, 2017 and August 15, 2017 for consideration. Ms. Swenson agreed <br /> with the August 15, 2017 deadline date for the removal of the garage, <br /> breezeway, manufactured home, and deck. <br /> Mayor Adams closed the public hearing. <br /> City Attorney Scott explained the compliance date in the resolution will be <br /> changed to August 15, 2017 and the recommendation is to approve the <br /> resolution as amended. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 17- <br /> 17 FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS AND ORDER OF THE PEQUOT LAKES <br /> CITY COUNCIL REGARDING ALLEGED CODE VIOLATIONS AND <br /> NUISANCE CONDITIONS AT 31051 PINE STREET AS AMENDED <br /> WITH A COMPLIANCE DATE OF AUGUST 15, 2017. MAYOR ADAMS <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0 <br /> 3.B. 3952 County Road 17 <br /> City Attorney Scott explained that in 2014 the City retained a court order to <br /> clean up the property at 3952 County Road 17, owned by Virgil Dahl. This <br /> property is again in violation of the City Code due to more debris on the <br /> property. Mr. Scott further noted that Mr. Dahl notified City Staff that he <br /> will not be present at today's meeting. <br /> Mayor Adams opened the public hearing. <br /> Nancy Malecha updated the Council on the notes she dictated after onsite <br /> visits and telephone conversations with Mr. Dahl. She noted that four <br /> onsite visits were performed by her and Chief Klang with the most recent <br /> visit occurring on April 21, 2017. At this onsite visit, Mr. Dahl was still in <br />
