COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE
MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0.
9.3. Crow Wing County C.R. 11 Corridor Study (Agenda Addition)
Mayor Adams updated the Council on the recent Crow Wing County -
County Road 11 Corridor Study meeting that was held. She noted that the
`- County needs information on the City's plans between the new
intersection of 371 and the stop light. The Mayor suggested forming a
committee to study this area. She suggested that the committee consist of
Mike Loven, Dave Sjoblad, one or two Planning Commission Members
and the City Engineer.
MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO DEVELOP A COMMITTEE TO CONSIDER
A PRELIMINARY PLAN FOR HIGHWAY 11 FROM THE NEW
INTERSECTION TO THE STOP LIGHT AND TO PRESENT THE
FINDINGS TO THE COUNCIL ON THE NOVEMBER 1ST MEETING.
COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA SECONDED THE MOTION.
Council Member Ryan explained that there are very diverse visions of
what the corridor would be and further noted that the timetable is too short
to accomplish a study in a month's time. Council Member Sjoblad
suggested that the committee make a working plan of some possibilities
for the corridor.
Council Member Ryan stated that this study is premature until the vision
for the intersection of the city is evolved.
MOTION CARRIED 3 -2.
