Ms. Malecha noted the timeline is a fluid <br /> document to assist in meeting deadlines and is by no means final. <br /> 9.3. Skateboard Park <br /> Mayor Adams informed the Council that a subcommittee of the Park <br /> Commission has been meeting with students and parents who are <br /> interested in having a skateboard park in Pequot Lakes. Included in the <br /> research for the project was an informal poll at the Pequot Lakes Middle <br /> School which resulted in 210 students interested and excited about this <br /> park idea. <br /> Council Member Pederson questioned if locations for the skateboard park <br /> have been considered. <br /> Mayor Adams noted the location they are considering is the south parking <br /> lot at City Hall due to the close proximity to the Police Department. She <br /> explained the City of Crosby stated that the success of their skateboard <br /> park is a result of the location. <br /> MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO APPROVE PAYMENT TO 3RD LAIR <br /> SKATEPARK IN THE AMOUNT OF $250 FOR CONCEPTUAL SKATE <br /> PARK DESIGNS TO BE PAID FROM THE FUND BALANCE OF THE <br /> GENERAL FUND. COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 10. Public Works <br /> 10.1. Highway 371 City Coordination Team Meeting Update <br /> Nancy Malecha updated the Council on items discussed at the February <br /> 7th Highway 371 City Coordination Team Meeting. <br /> Ms. Malecha distributed a City identifier sign design from Jeff Kreitz to the <br /> Council. She explained the dimensions of the sign and approximate <br /> location near the CSAH 11 interchange ramps for motorists to see <br /> traveling north and south on the Highway 371 expressway. <br /> Council discussion ensued as to sign locations, lighting, cost, and future <br /> signs along the Highway 371 expressway. <br /> MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO APPROVE THE CITY IDENTIFIER SIGN <br /> DESIGN FROM JEFF KREITZ FOR AN APPROXIMATE COST OF <br /> $10,000-$11,000 PER SIGN TO BE PAID FROM THE HIGHWAY 371 <br />
