Clerk's Staff Report <br />June, 2011 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />------------------- - - - - -- <br />EDC wants to begin working on developing a WAC /SAC policy and to address <br />the method of charging for these fees. <br />PROJECTS: <br />• Police Chief — The search for a police chief has ended and the City has made an <br />offer to Eric Klang. Eric has accepted and will begin on July 18th . The Clerk's <br />office will continue to work with Mr. Kiang to ensure that all the necessary forms, <br />policies, paperwork, etc. is completed. <br />• Budgets — The Clerk's office continues to work with departments on the proposed <br />2012 budgets. The Job Evaluation Committee will meet to review recommended <br />changes to job descriptions and job points. Every other year the Clerk's office and <br />Job Evaluation Committee is required to complete a market research for outside <br />equity (a research of wages for comparable jobs in cities from 1,000 to 3,000 <br />populations. The Committee is in the process of completing this process. <br />• Water/Wastewater Operator — The Clerk's office has been working with <br />PRASD and the City Attorney to draft a temporary agreement with PRASD for <br />Water /Wastewater services. <br />• Government Drive — The Clerk has been attending the Government Drive Focus <br />Group meetings. <br />• School Bus Garage — See attached notes from July 15th meeting. <br />• Administrative Support for Police Department — Dawn and Jeanyne have <br />continued to provide administrative assistance in the police department. This has <br />worked out well so far. The police phones are transferred to the Clerk's office and <br />the public who stops in to see the police are greeted by the Clerk's office. Both <br />Dawn and Jeanyne have worked hard to make the transition run smoothly. <br />Clerk's Staff <br />• Reports from the Clerk's staff are attached <br />
