City Council Minutes <br /> December 6, 2016 <br /> Page 5 of 11 <br /> 4-0. <br /> 6.3. Rezone Request <br /> Dawn Bittner noted that Helbling Land Company and Michael Bullinge <br /> propose to subdivide a 5.6 acre tract from a 32.13 acre tract zoned <br /> recreational. The Planning Commission unanimously recommended the <br /> 5.6 acre parcel be rezoned to rural residential based on the sixteen <br /> findings of fact presented. Ms. Bittner requested adding language to verify <br /> with Crow Wing County that all current and delinquent real estate taxes <br /> have been paid with sufficient funds by December 31, 2016. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 16- <br /> 07 TO AMEND THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP TO INCLUDE THE <br /> REZONE REQUEST FROM HELBLING LAND COMPANY AND <br /> MICHAEL BULLINGE SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION BY CROW WING <br /> COUNTY THAT ALL CURRENT AND DELINQUENT REAL ESTATE <br /> TAXES HAVE BEEN PAID WITH SUFFICIENT FUNDS BY DECEMBER <br /> 31, 2016. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 7. Fire <br /> The October 2016 Fire Department Operations Report and the October <br /> 26, 2016 Fire Board Meeting minutes were received by Council. <br /> 7.1. Firefighter Resignation <br /> Nancy Malecha informed the Council that Jory Carlson submitted his <br /> resignation from the Pequot Lakes Fire Department after one year of <br /> service. <br /> The Council acknowledged Jory Carlson's resignation from the Fire <br /> Department and thanked him for his year of service. <br /> 8. Police <br /> 8.1. Animal Control Enforcement Service Agreement <br /> Sergeant Turcotte explained the need for the City to continue the animal <br /> control enforcement services agreement with Donald Hannahs for 2017. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO APPROVE THE 2017 <br /> ANIMAL CONTROL ENFORCEMENT SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH <br />
