Adoption of 2017 City Budgets <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE <br /> BUDGET AS FOLLOWS. <br /> • 2017 HRA BUDGET OF $38,250. <br /> • 2017 TAX LEVY BUDGETS OF $2,663,460 IN REVENUE AND <br /> $2,590,480 IN EXPENDITURES. <br /> • 2017 SPECIAL REVENUE & ENTERPRISE BUDGETS OF <br /> $2,874,680 IN REVENUE AND $2,570,500 IN <br /> EXPENDITURES. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION <br /> 16-29 SETTING THE 2017 HRA LEVY AT $38,250. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 4-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION <br /> 16-30 SETTING THE 2017 GENERAL REVENUE TAX LEVY AT <br /> $1,581,823 AND THE TAX ABATEMENT LEVY AT $15,407. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> Mayor Sjoblad thanked City staff and everyone involved in the budget <br /> process. Council Member Akerson concurred. <br /> 5.3. 2017 Fee Schedule <br /> Nancy Malecha presented the proposed fee schedule for 2017 with <br /> changes to the water and sewer rates and meter maintenance fees, the <br /> addition of grading and the change in wording of after the fact fees. <br /> Deletions were also made to the administrative fine penalties as these <br /> penalties are covered under MN State Statutes and would be issued a <br /> State citation rather than a City administrative fine. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 16- <br /> 31 AMENDING THE 2017 FEE SCHEDULE AND ADMINISTRATIVE <br /> FINE PENALTIES AS ADOPTED BY CITY ORDINANCE. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED <br /> 4-0. <br />
