Open Forum <br /> Russ Powell, 5970 North Sluetter Road, addressed the Council. Mr. <br /> Powell requested that the Council address the condition and maintenance <br /> of North Sluetter Road. He wanted to know if there was a maintenance <br /> program in effect for this Road. <br /> Mayor Sjoblad explained there is a maintenance agreement with Loon <br /> Lake Township for North Sluetter Road. <br /> 5. Presentations <br /> 5.1. TCI Sponsorship from Central Lakes Rotary Club <br /> Chris Lindholm on behalf of the Central Lakes Rotary Club presented a <br /> $250 check to the City for financial sponsorship of the Thriving <br /> Communities Initiative. Mr. Lindholm expressed gratitude to the City of <br /> Pequot Lakes for following through and leading the process. <br /> 5.2. Budget/Lew— Public Hearing <br /> A. Budget and Levy Presentations <br /> Mayor Sjoblad announced that Nancy Malecha will present the 2017 <br /> Budget/Levy. Nancy Malecha gave a brief presentation on the <br /> following information and explained how property taxes are calculated. <br /> • The general revenue tax levy of$1,581,823 <br /> • Tax abatement levy of$15,407 <br /> • The total levy amount of$1,597,230 <br /> • The HRA levy of$38,250 <br /> B. Public Hearing on Budgets and Levies <br /> Mayor Sjoblad opened the public hearing. <br /> There being no comments on the budgets and levies, Mayor Sjoblad <br /> closed the public hearing. <br />
