COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 6. Joyce Mikesh <br /> Ms. Mikesh noted that the property is the last of several parcels that have <br /> sold. It has been on the market for three years and is listed at $75,000. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO REDUCE THE MARKET <br /> VALUE TO $72,100 WHICH IS A SPLIT BETWEEN THE 2005 AND 2006 <br /> VALUE. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 7. Brent Wiger— Lonesome Cottage <br /> Mr. Wiger noted that Lonesome Cottage recently purchased the property <br /> at a much lower value than the assessed market value. Council Member <br /> Ryan noted he would abstain from the vote as the property was sold by <br /> him. He noted that the property was listed at $795,000 and sold for <br /> $425,000 after it was on the market for six months. He requested the <br /> Council to reduce the assessed value of the property. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED THAT THE ASSESSED VALUE <br /> BE REDUCED TO THE SALE PRICE OF $425,000. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER RYAN ABSTAINED. <br /> 8. Richard Cowger <br /> Mr. Cowger noted that he purchased the former county maintenance <br /> shop. He voiced his concern over the 95% increase in valuation over the <br /> sale price. He indicated that he purchased the property for$112,800 in <br /> 2005 and the assessed value is $167,000. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO REDUCE THE ASSESSED <br /> VALUE BY 10% EACH YEAR REDUCING THE VALUE TO $136,500. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 4-0. <br />
