Board of Review Meeting <br /> May 10, 2007 <br /> Page 4 <br /> 9. Carolyn Fitzer <br /> Ms. Fitzer noted she is representing St. Alice Church. She questioned the <br /> assessed value. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO REDUCE THE ASSESSED <br /> VALUE TO $83,000. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN <br /> ABSTAINED AS HE IS A MEMBER OF THE FINANCE COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CHURCH. <br /> 10. Curt Johnson/Lueck— Oasis Center <br /> Mr. Johnson indicated that he is representing Mr. Lueck for the Oasis <br /> Center. Mr. Johnson noted that there is no market for the property due to <br /> the highway situation. Mr. Lueck noted that the property has been on the <br /> market for two years. Last week he was offered $450,000 and the <br /> assessed market value is much higher than this. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO REDUCE THE ASSESSED <br /> `.� VALUE TO $556,000 BASED ON THE SAME CONCEPT AS <br /> LONESOME COTTAGE PURCHASE. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> Darrel Olson noted that this property has much more front footage than <br /> Lonesome Cottage, thereby not being equal. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 11. Harlan Johnson <br /> Mr. Johnson noted he owns the Old Lakes State Bank. He paid $225,000 <br /> for the property in 2006 and it is now assessed at $248,700. He requested <br /> to reduce the valuation. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO REDUCE THE ASSESSED <br /> VALUE TO $225,000 BASED ON THE PURCHASE PRICE. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> Assessor Olson reviewed the revisions that were made in his office. <br />
