The structural integrity and width of most of this stretch of Old 371 is less than that which MnDOT will construct for their service roads as part of a Trunk Highway project.This service • road will also assist in local circulation and add to the safety of TH 371 by minimizing local traffic having to use the Trunk Highway system. MnDOT will not participate in upgrading an existing road, even if it is part of the proposed service road network(besides,no accesses on the highway are being closed thru this stretch).
