w <br /> A `- <br /> the patrol car while said personnel are on duty or on <br /> call, except in emergencies or except where the car is <br /> in use merely for demonstrative or education purposes, <br /> such as demonstrations for youth. Council members or <br /> other city employees may be allowed to occupy the <br /> patrol car on an exceptional basis. <br /> (b) The patrol car is to remain in the jurisdiction of the <br /> City of Pequot Lakes at all times, unless being used on <br /> official business or in emergencies. Only de minimus <br /> or rare and incidental use of the patrol car for <br /> non-official business or personal use is allowed. The <br /> patrol car shall be kept clean at all times, inside and <br /> out. The patrol car will also be properly maintained <br /> and a maintenance schedule adopted and followed. <br /> (c) Any damage to the patrol car shall be reported through <br /> the chain of command. <br /> (11) City Property and Equipment. The Chief shall maintain <br /> a current list or inventory of police equipment owned by the <br /> City of Pequot Lakes, as well as its current location, and <br /> report the same to the City Council and file a copy of the <br /> �... same with the City Clerk. The Chief shall keep the City <br /> Council updated on any significant changes in location of <br /> the equipment and shall at all times maintain receipts for <br /> all equipment on loan or in use by other law enforcement <br /> departments or other individuals. Any purchases in excess <br /> of $200.00 shall be pre-authorized by the City Council, <br /> including repairs to the patrol car, unless extenuating <br /> circumstances require immediate action. All purchases <br /> shall be verified by signed invoices and filed with the <br /> Clerk in a timely fashion. The City owned car or other <br /> motor vehicles shall comply with the same directives <br /> regarding the patrol car. <br /> (12) Receipt of Donations. The Police Department shall not <br /> receive any cash or in kind donations unless the cause or <br /> reason for the donations are pre-approved by the Council, <br /> the police personnel deliver a receipt to the City Clerk, <br /> with a carbon copy retained by the police officer, and <br /> only if the organization for which the donations are <br /> received is properly authorized and created under Minnesota <br /> Statutes. The Police Department shall not maintain its <br /> own savings or checking accounts. All police activities <br /> including purchases and receipt of cash donations shall <br /> be accounted for by the Police Chief and shall deliver all <br /> said information in a timely fashion to the City Clerk for <br /> said accounting or record keeping. <br /> (13) Employee Investigations.
