r-` <br /> (c) Vacation. A minimum of two weeks advanced notice will <br /> be provided to the City Council, the Crow Wing County Sheriff <br /> and the City Clerk of all intended vacations of the Chief <br /> of Police. <br /> (d) Sick Leave. Sick leave notifications shall be <br /> submitted pursuant to the chain of command. <br /> (e) Holidays. The Chief is responsible for providing <br /> police coverage for the City of Pequot Lakes during critical <br /> holiday schedules at his discretion. Holiday leave <br /> notification shall be pursuant to the chain of command <br /> and every reasonable effort shall be made to provide <br /> advance notice of all holiday leave scheduled. <br /> (e) Call Out. The first priority of the Chief of Police <br /> and the Police Department of the City of Pequot Lakes shall <br /> be the City of Pequot Lakes. The Chief of Police at his <br /> discretion and with due regard for his personnel needs <br /> and scheduling shall respond to call outs made by the <br /> Sheriff's Department or other police agencies. <br /> (7) Relationship with City Attorney or Prosecutor. The Police <br /> Chief and patrolmen may meet with the City Attorney on <br /> Ordinance violations or misdemeanors at their discretion. <br /> (8) Relationship with Other Law Enforcement Departments. The <br /> Police Chief and patrolmen shall utilize their best efforts in <br /> maintaining a cooperative and competent professional relation- <br /> ship with all other law enforcement departments and agencies. <br /> The Council shall be apprised on a regular basis regarding <br /> developments in other departments or agencies. <br /> (a) Deputy Status. As soon as practicable, the Chief and all licensed officers, <br /> shall be sworn in as a deputy for Crow Wing County and <br /> Cass County and shall use reasonable efforts to maintain <br /> his deputy status in both counties. <br /> (9) Public Programs. The Chief of Police shall coordinate, <br /> cooperate and facilitate public programs such as school <br /> participation, neighborhood watch programs, boating school, <br /> gun training, Operation Identification programs, and similar <br /> programs designed to educate the public, endear the citizens <br /> to the Police Department and to in general foster good <br /> relationships with the citizens of Pequot Lakes, and with <br /> particular attention to the youth.
