Job Points and Pav Ranqe for Positions of Police Chief and Police <br />Sergeant <br />The Clerk explained that the Job Evaluation Committee met to review the <br />job descriptions to determine a recommendation for job points and pay <br />range for each position. She explained that the Committee compares the <br />job duties with those listed in the State of Minnesota Job Descriptions with <br />the intent of finding the best match. Once a match is found, the points are <br />then linked to the title and the pay range is determined by the points. <br />The Committee's recommendation for Police Sergeant is 339 job points <br />with a pay range of $19.22 -$25.22 and for Police Chief is 410 points with <br />a pay range of $21.63 - $28.38. <br />Council Member Ryan suggested that the position be an exempt position. <br />Council Member Ryan requested staff to review the FLSA Law to ensure <br />that the Chief position is eligible as an exempt position. <br />� <br />
